Outdoor temperature sensors

This sensor is ideal for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, functioning as a reference sensor for weather-compensated control, a measuring sensor for optimization, or as part of a building management system for measured value display and data integration.

The TOC outdoor temperature sensor features a direct output thermistor sensing element, available as NTC 10K or platinum sensing element PT1000, with other sensing elements available upon request.

At 25°C, the sensor provides precise tolerances of ±0.22°C for NTC 10K and ±0.42°C for PT1000, ensuring accurate readings.

The TOC sensor includes a simple 2-wire connection, with options for 3-wire and 4-wire configurations available on request. Its IP65-rated enclosure ensures durability in challenging conditions.

The sensor housing is equipped with 4 quick-locking screws for secure access and includes a plastic cable entry gland M16 x 1.5 with strain relief for cables 4 to 10 mm in diameter. Wiring is done via a screw clamp connection supporting cables up to 1.5 mm.

The TOC outdoor temperature sensor is available with the sensing element housed internally or, upon request, externally placed in a probe for specific applications.

For optimal performance:

• Always install the sensor on a north-facing wall at a minimum height of 2.5 meters above ground.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight. If installation in sunlight is unavoidable, use the sensor shield SGD SS1.
• Do not install near heat sources such as windows or doors.
• Ensure the cable entry points downward during installation.
