Outdoor temperature transmitters

Ideal for use in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, the TOTP transmitter functions as a reference sensor for weather-compensated control, a measuring sensor for optimization, or as part of a building management system for measured value display and integration.

The TOTP outdoor transmitter offers 8 selectable temperature ranges in a single unit, adjustable via jumpers on the PCB:

• -20°C to +150°C
• -50°C to +50°C
• -20°C to +80°C
• -30°C to +60°C
• 0°C to +40°C
• 0°C to +50°C
• 0°C to +100°C
• 0°C to +150°C
  Other temperature ranges are available upon request.

Powered by 15-36 Vdc for the 4-20 mA output or 24 Vac/dc for the 0-10 Vdc output, the TOTP transmitter utilizes a PT1000 sensor (DIN EN 60751, class B) for precise measurements.

The TOTP outdoor transmitter features a robust ABS plastic enclosure with 4 quick-locking screws for easy access. The sensing element is located in a durable stainless steel probe outside the enclosure for optimal performance.

Wiring connections are made inside the ABS enclosure via a terminal block, with a plastic cable entry gland M16 x 1.5 that includes strain relief. The TOTP transmitter is available with or without an LCD display for added flexibility.

Installation Guidelines:

• Mount the sensor on a north-facing wall, at least 2.5 meters above ground.
• Avoid direct sunlight exposure. If installation in sunlight is unavoidable, use the sensor shield SGD SS1 for protection.
• Keep the transmitter away from heat sources such as windows or doors.
• Ensure the cable entry is pointing downward during installation.
