The Room Smoke Detector FWD 305 is an optical (photoelectric) smoke detector equipped with a microprocessor, offering dual alarm signals for fire incidents. It provides both a fire alarm signal from the initiating detector and a warning alarm signal for interconnected detectors in the system.

- Activation Signal
  Upon powering up, the detector emits a Morse signal (Long, Short, Short, Short) indicating proper functionality.
- Testing
  Pressing the test button activates the fire warning signal. Releasing the button generates a signal (Short, Short, Short) to confirm functionality.
- Standard Type Programming (Basic Features)
  - Fire Alarm Siren: Emits a periodic signal when smoke is detected.
  - Alarm Relay Output: Activates immediately upon smoke detection (SPDT, 1A at 24 Vdc).
  - Delay: The relay output has an 8-second delay before activation.
  - Interconnection: Allows activation of additional detectors via an extra wire when one detector senses smoke.
